Coy Carp Uxbridge by John McGeechan

About Me

I developed an interest in art at a very early age and during my primary school years I spent most of the summer holidays in nearby fields and woods drawing and painting landscapes and trees, using charcoal / pencil / watercolour.

I sold my first pair of watercolour paintings to a school friends Mum when I was eleven years old. However very soon life got in the way and my art became a distant memory in my early teenage years.

I retired in March 2016 and was encouraged by my lovely wife to pick up where I left off all those years ago. So I spoke to a friend who introduced me to Elise V Allan (Glasgow Artist). Elise has been tremendous in giving me much needed help and guidance and I would highly recommend her as a teacher and artist.

I work in a small home studio in Moodiesburn and paint mainly landscapes using acrylic on paper. I love this medium and get so much satisfaction from my work.

I Love music and have played in bands most of my adult life. Now teach the saxophone and love it.
